I love photography, it is a great little hobby of mine. I love to capture life and every beautiful aspect it presents me. Be it color or b&w, I’ll take a shot should I see something fit to remember forever. Here are a few select, low-quality photo’s I’ve taken over the last few years.
As my current hobbyist camera, I use a Canon S40 4-Megapixel Digital. I’m looking to upgrade to something with better optical.
Big Island Sea Side

Taken on a sunny day while driving around the Big Island of Hawaii. It was a great vacation and perfect temperature!

Ceiling drip of our lava tube

We actually have a real, live lava tube on our property. It has hardened but 100 years or so ago it was flowing with liquid hot magma. On the ceiling you can see how the lava flow was so hot it cause it to melt and the molden rock dropped down. The entire tube ceiling have these smooth, stalagtite formations.
Natures Reflection

In Hawaii on the coast, there are plenty of spots where the waves slip inland and form little ponds. These tree’s grow with crazy root patterns and I’ve always been facinated by them.

Belgium Sepia Sun

One thing that is absolutely superb about living in the Nederlands is that you have so much so close to you. Thus naturally one of my favorite things to do is take explorative day trips to neighboring Cities/Countries.
On this fine day while traveling in Brussels Belgium I looked up and came across this shot, nothing spectacular but I’ve always been a sucker for sunshine. 2005
Midnight Lava Run
![]()
Its a fact that Mt. Kilauea is the worlds most active volcano, the great part is my family lives quite close to it. The lava runs are a 3hr one way hike from the nearest road over recenty cracked and elevated hardened lava flow. But once you get there it is a one of a kind experience, especially at night. Here underground lava tubes run into the ocean to present a magnificent view.
Note the “M” written in lava as I took this picture, I only wish I had my camera settings tweaked a little more and better zoom.
Sepia Jungle

On the Big Island of Hawaii, my family has 12 acres in a village called Volcano which is located well, on a volcano. The jungle surrounding the house is amazing, this picture shows us just coming out of it.
