Cingular Releases their HTC Wizard: The Cingular 8125
![]()
After being rumored for so long it is finally here, the Cingular 8125. The HTC Wizard AKA Qtek 9100 in Cingular branding for the USA. Now they can all have a full qwerty keyboard, EDGE GRPS, WiFi and Windows Mobile 5.
The specs are identical to the HTC Wizard/Qtek 9100 which I reviewed before, the outside doesn’t look the same though, a bit more boxy. The 8000 is the same as the 8125 without the camera. They start at $299 with a 2 year plan and are available on Cingular’s website now. This might be a good time to pick one up and take advantage of Cingulars UNLIMITED EDGE data plans. I tested the EDGE with my Qtek 9100 and it was pretty fast in California.
Side Note T-Mobile will be releasing their MDA Vario in the US which is identical to function and style to the Qtek 9100 and Cingular 8125 soon as well.
Cingular 8125 & 8000 Quick Specs:
- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz for enhanced global use
- Windows Mobile 5.0
- 128MB SDRAM / 64MB ROM
- TI OMAP 200MHz Processor
