After 18+ hours on the flight back, we’re finally home. The vacation was amazing and MUCH needed and if it wasn’t for the jet-lag I’d give a little more indepth update. So in the next one look forward to updates, HTC Wizard goodness, Dell 20” Widescreen bliss, pictures, reviews and cool stories.

Mid-Vacation update

A little update from the middle of a tropical jungle on an active volcano in the middle of the pacific ocean over dial-up. So far things have been really great and really enforce how needed vacations are. We spent our weekend in San Diego and are now in Hawaii on the big island.
Being thrown into such a simple and low-tech environment is quite humbling and very enjoyable in my situation. It really makes you stop and think about the important things in life, whatever they may be to you and the priorities of those things. During the stay here we’ve done and are planning to:
- Go swimming with the dolphins
- Drive across the island
- Swim with the turtles in the warm pond
- Visit the volcano and walk to the lava flows
Among other things. None-the-less good times had and good times ahead. Lots of pictures to come.

Alright, the holidays are here! As of tomorrow morning I’ll be on a plane back to the states for some business which I’m turning into a vacation. A much needed one at that, it should be good times and good fun. San Diego is first on the stop, but only for the weekend. After that Hawaii where I’m sure to get some R&R!!
Of course I will still be connected and have email accessible, so anyone who needs to get in touch you can use the same channels.

“The two best times to launch a guerrilla marketing attack are exactly the same as the two best times to plan a tree: Twenty years ago—and today.”

If there were 100 people on earth…

This is a very interesting and amusing quote from a book I’m reading (Which I’ll post a review on soon):
A reality check:
“If we could shrink the Earth’s population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look like this:
There would be:
- 57 Asians
- 27 Europeans
- 14 from the Western Hemisphere (North and South)
- and 8 Africans.
- 51% would be female; 49% would be male
- 70% none Non-Christian; 30% Christian
- 50% of the entire world’s wealth would be in the hands of only 6 people
- All 6 people would be citizens of the United States
- 80% would live in substandard housing
- 70% would not be able to read
- 50% would suffer from malnutrition
- 1 would be near dead
- 1 would be near birth”
A microcosm of the world these days.
