Adult ADHD: 50 Tips on Management
I found this great article about ADHD management and it just completely clicked with me. This is the interesting part:
- I’ve never been diagnoses with ADHD
- None of my family or friends has brought it up.
- No doctor or therapist has ever suggested it
Yet as I read this list I can apply over 50% of the things on it to my daily life. Especially the structure, color coding, depression after success at times, fear of success. I am always doing 10 things at the exact same time with no real focus yet I am constantly forgetting to do simple tasks around the house (much to my ladies dismay) because of no priority system. Since implementing various methods of structure in my life I have effectively increased my productivity 100%.
I now use color-code post its, have a system for “getting things done”, walk around with a small note pad and paper, frequently use my calendar and such for tasks and events. I must say also that since starting my Macrobiotic diet I have improved greatly as well. I’m not sure if this is to say I need to be strapped down and medicated, but I just saw the relationships I saw in this list interesting. It might be useful for those with similar symptoms and would like to increase their productivity.
