A really great little video here explaining the theory in (simpler) terms. If you’re new to such ideas, let it sink in a bit and start to imagine how it could all work out.
This is your brain exercise for the day!
The original site ran out of bandwidth (as he posted a video of it and it was linked to digg :-), but google has a decent low-quality cache.

Unsecured WiFi in NYC to be outlawed?

From ZdNet:
“According to a new proposal being considered by a suburb of New York City, any business or home office with an open wireless connection but no separate server to fend off Internet attacks would be violating the law.”
HAH! Very interesting concept indeed. Too bad it sounds like just anothe bandaid solution to a severed limb.
I’d really like to see them try and enforce this: “We’ve gotten a few calls sir, apparently you’re operating an unsecure 802.11G transmission from within this vacinity with the SSID of “r3belh4×0r”. You’re going to have to come with us…”
But as the golden rule states: “When in fear, pass a law to ban it”.

“The moon in the water broken and broken again . . . still it is there.”
—Chohsu, Haiku Poet
I like this one especially as I’m a fool for simple things. But the messege is loud and clear, to survive, to endure, to continue. Then you may even go deeping into perhaps the illusion of it all, the illusion of failure, the illusion of the moon breaking. You may say “Well it looks that way because you’re looking at the water and not the moon” To which you could reply “Well yes, I guess its all in the eyes of perspective viewer. Its all in how you look at something, its all relative. Man I love Haiku’s.
